Core Keeper: Thorn Damage Build
In Core Keeper, we have an item that has a Thorns Damage effect. Thorn Damage means Passively damaging enemies when taking damage.

Wooden Thorn Ring
Wooden Thorn Ring can be found from destroying wood in Azeos’ Wilderness.
It has a blue rarity and it gives +22 thorn damage.
Weapon Description: A circular, brambly root with sharp thorns pointing outward.

Iron Breastplate
This item is part of the Iron set and has green rarity.
Armor Statistics:
- +25 max health
- +12 armor
- +7.2% damage
3 set: +19.0% armor while at low health
Item Description: Charge into battle with this epic chest piece.

Iron Pants
Also, an item from the Iron set with green rarity.
Pants Statistics:
- +20 max health
- +12 armor
- +5.8% damage
3 set: +19.0% armor while at low health
Item description: You’ve got knees of steel!

Iron Helm
The third item from the iron set with green rarity.

Rare Black Fin Fillet
This is an item that you can obtain only by cooking and it is consumable. You need Dagger Fin to make this item.

- +32 food
- +4.9 health every sec for 26sec
- +19 thorn damage for 7min 30sec
- +28 armor for 7min 30sec

Rare Black Stone Dip Snack
A consumable item that can be obtained by cooking.
Item Statistics:
- +35 food
- +32 armor for 7min 30sec
- +11% chance to knockback for 1min 18sec
- +4.5 health every sec for 26sec
- +19 thorn damage for 7min 30sec

How does it work?
Let’s try it with Boss Glurch.
While you are standing next to the boss, let him hit you. It will deal damage to him as a reflection of the passive skill of the Thorn Damage with every hit on you.
With this Thorn Damage Build, you will take approximately 15 damage, while the boss takes 115 damage.

Skills
If you go to your skills, and slick on the Gardening Skill tree, you will notice Thorny Skin, which gives +50 thorn damage if it’s maxed out.

Additionally, in the crafting skill tree, you can also upgrade High Quality Equipment, which will give you a +20% chance to not lose durability on equipment when taking damage.
