Do Asteroids Respawn? (Find Out!) – Cosmoteer
Becoming a Cosmoteer does not only involve building ships and battling enemies in the galaxy. It also includes mining for resources from asteroids.
Asteroid belts can be found in the system where there is a long stretch of mineable area.
In the game, asteroids actually do not spawn or respawn, but are generated all at once. However, the question on whether asteroids respawn or not actually has a point since, in essence, this gives some sort of an ongoing economy in the game.
On the other hand, limiting the resources in one area will oblige players to explore a wider area on the map, which is good for the early game.
Overall, we think that respawns should be limited at a certain period and area on the map, at the very least, and should only respawn when it reaches a certain availability threshold.
