Looking for a brand new and improved Life Simulator game? Not to worry! Dinkum is here and its filled with a ton of interesting objectives and great adventures that players can enjoy on their tropical island. It’s always great to know what the game is all about before even purchasing it!

This game review will show you all you need to know about Dinkum!

Game Review – Dinkum

As you start the game, you will be introduced with a short cut-scene where everyone lives a boring life. A simple job that repeats the same process over and over.

You will get an offer from a stranger to work together on an island and begin your whole journey.

Once you’ve finished your short cut-scene, the player customization menu will open up where you can create your unique character or randomize its looks.

With your character created, your journey on the island begins! Your first objective will be to build a tent and start following objectives that are given to you.

This game has a similar playstyle as Stardew Valley.

The unique cartoon graphics provide players a good experience in the game!

As you progress much further into the game, you will be given more and more materials that you can use for trading with vendors and begin building yourself a house, obtain tools that can help you obtain certain things much quicker.

There is a leveling and an ability system in this game. You can raise levels and gain different abilities as you complete different objectives.

You will be introduced with various licenses that will unlock special skills such as:

  • Fishing
  • Logging
  • Mining
  • Excavation
  • Hunting

There are side-objectives that you can encounter as you stay on your island, various NPCs will come to your island and ask you for certain materials or for you to do a specific job for them. This will help you earn levels quicker and will have more things to do in the game, not making it boring.

The same NPC will sometimes get to your island multiple times and ask for a favor. After a few favors have been completed, the reputation will raise and they will eventually become a part of your group and island.

The NPCs are also used to do chores for you and speed things up!

The game currently is being sold on Steam for $15.11. With the game currently being in early access, it has great potential to become even better as updates come to various players.

It’s definitely worth giving it a try if you want to start playing a good life farming simulator!
