Fire Mage Build Guide: Core Keeper

Skull Ring

This build can be obtained at the late game as you progress through the story, and it is most likely for users who like to play the fire thing.

The first item is the Skull ring from the Skull set, which many people avoid using because of the negative max health, but it could be changed with an additional item that we will show you forward.

Statistics:

  • -29 max health
  • +8.6% melee attack speed

3 set: all nearby enemies burn for +43 damage every third sec.

Hunter Hood

For the armor, there are many different sets to be used, but Hunter Hood is a pretty good option because it will add to the negative health of the ring.

You can farm this armor from the little plant mobs in the Azios Wilderness Biome, the green area.

This item will give you some extra health, which will be going to offset the -29 health from the Ring.

Statistics:

  • +23 max health
  • +5% dodge chance
  • +9.0% range damage

2 set: +15% critical hit chance after standing still for a short duration.

Hunter Cloak

Hunter Cloak will give you additional health to offset the negative health from the ring and necklace.

Statistics:

  • +36 max health
  • +7% dodge chance
  • +11.5% range damage

2 set: +15% critical hit chance after standing still for a short duration.

Ivy’s Pants

These are amazing Pants to use because they give you a lot of health and critical hit damage. In the build, they are used as a solo item, not included in a set.

Statistics:

  • +65 max health
  • +31% critical hit damage

Skull Necklace

This is the second main item from the Skull set.

Statistics:

  • -26 max health
  • +9.0% range attack speed

3 set: all nearby enemies burn for +43 damage every third sec.

Blue Leather Tome

This is the last item that will complete the Skull set in our build.

Statistics:

  • +21.6% range damage

3 set: all nearby enemies burn for +43 damage every third second.

Polished Gold Crystal Ring

Statistics:

  • +19.9% range damage
  • +3.5% range attack speed

How does the 3 Skull set work?

This set will give you a pretty big range. You just have to stand from a distance and it will start to burn the mobs and kill them by itself.

To be more efficient and do more damage to the mobs, it is better to hit the enemies first, and then the burning damage will be slightly increased.

Sometimes it may happen that the mobs won’t die from the burning damage alone. You have to hit the first, then they can be killed by the burning damage.

This will help you additionally if you use the other part of the build, which is Fireball Staff.

You can get this Fireball Staff together with the Skull items from Malugas, who is located on the marked spot on the map below.

Statistics:

  • 131-159 range damage
  • 1.0 attacks per second
  • +17 burn damage every third sec.

Skills

The skills will be going to amplify your damage output.

Range combat

Range combat will give you additional +50.0% range damage if you have maxed all the skills from its group.

Statistics:

  • Rapid shots 5/5: +10.0% range attack speed
  • Keeping momentum 5/5: Gain 2% range damage every time an enemy is shot, stacks up to 10 times
  • Weakness detection 5/5: +10% chance on ranged hit to increase critical hit chance by 100% for a short duration
  • Stun shot 5/5: +20% chance to stun targets on ranged hit
  • Amplified precision 5/5: +40% critical hit damage
