Homeworld 3: Beginner Player Guide

Homeworld 3 is the third installment in the illustrious space RTS series. You take control of your space fleet and lead them into battle into the large unknown. For new players of the franchise, it might be confusing how to start but in today’s guide, we will be going through what you need to know to become a space commander and strategic maestro and all the tips and tricks that will help command your fleet to galactic victory. Let’s get to it!

Beginner Player Guide For Homeworld 3

Compatibility

The game has a range of settings from graphic settings to control settings and it should be able to run on any mid-range computer with a bit of slowdown from time to time but apart from that the game will remain visually stunning.

The game also sounds out of this world, LITERALLY, with a good soundtrack carefully orchestrated to make you feel like a space commander and amazing and realistic sound effects.

Controls

The old Homeworld games are known for their complicated controls and this can be hard for new players to get used to but don’t worry, if you are not a Homeworld veteran the game provides you with three types of control settings these are Modern, Legacy, and your custom controls.

If you are new to the game I’d recommend Modern controls since they are easier to get used to and for veteran players Legacy brings back the fun complicated feel of the game.

Taking Out Smaller Enemies

This is called the banding box attack and it can be used to take out hordes of small enemy formations by just holding the control button, clicking, and dragging toward the enemy you want to attack.

It can also be used to attack individual enemies.

Campaign

The campaign takes about 8-14 hours to finish.

The game also provides visually stunning cutscenes and a good campaign enough to have you glued to your screen.

War Games Mode

You can play this mode solo or with up to 2 friends where you complete a bunch of objectives and your choice of artifacts that become available to you as you progress through the game.

Artifacts help you change how your fleet operates.

Customization

The game offers excellent customization where you can change the color of your fleet and your badge with badges from previous Homeworld games made available.

I hope you enjoyed this guide, Happy gaming!
