First off, what are Vaultlanders? Vaultlanders are hidden figurine collectibles in New Tales from the Borderlands. It is an in-game tabletop miniature game where you battle the Badass Superfan via Quick Time Events. Note that in this minigame, the winner takes the loser’s Vaultlander. However, don’t worry you won’t lose yours when you get defeated, you just need to restart the battle to win.
So, where can you find these Vaultlanders? Find out through this guide.
All Vaultlander Locations – New Tales from the Borderlands
There are eighteen (18) Vaultlanders to collect in this game and are divided into four (4) classifications: Legendary, Epic, Rare, and Common.
In this guide, we will tell the locations of the Vaultlanders by their classification.
Legendary
- Phuong – can be found in the 2nd chapter of episode 1. The figurine will be given to Anu by Phoung while Anu was trying to escape the Atlas Spaceship.
- Handsome Jack – can be obtained in the 4th chapter of episode 5. In Susan Cowel’s office, there is a Red X on the floor where you can find a figurine. After interacting with it, the Badass Superfan will drop down from the ceiling and challenge you to a Vaultlander battle. Win the battle to get the figurine.
- Lilith – can be obtained after finishing the game with “Sis ‘N Bro)
- Fiona – can be obtained after finishing the game with “Brain ‘N Brawn” (Anu & Octavio Relationship on 50% or more)
Epic
- Roland – can be obtained in the 6th chapter of episode 3 at the morgue. While checking the storage units, the Badass Superfan will appear and you must defeat him to get the figurine.
- Maya – can be found in the 4th chapter of episode 4 on the desk at the top of the lab where Anu was working.
Rare
- Salvador – can be obtained when you connect a SHiFT account.
- Vasquez – can be obtained in the 2nd chapter of episode 3 as you search for parts to create a healing device. Upon checking the fridge, the Badass Superfan will appear and you must defeat him to get the figurine.
- Axton – can be obtained when you Like/Share: Borderlands or Gearbox on Twitter
- Mordecai – can be found in the 4th chapter of episode 4 when Fran was inspecting her new Frozen Yoghurt shop. Interact with the cash register to find the figurine.
- Brick –can be obtained in the 4th chapter of episode 4 by defeating the Badass Superfan hiding in the car trunk in Fran’s Frozen Yoghurt shop.
- Krieg – can be obtained in the 4th chapter of episode 5 when you are confronted by Stapleface who is dressed as a Badass Superfan. Choose to tackle Stapleface to get Kreig as a sign of your friendship.
Uncommon
- Amara – can be found in the 2nd chapter of episode 1 when Fran shows Reba the damages to her Frozen Yoghurt Shop. Amara is inside the rubble, thus, you need to smash it to get her.
- Zane – can be obtained in the 3rd chapter of episode 2. Win the battle against the Badass Superfan to get this figurine.
- FL4K – is a Pre-Order Bonus.
- Moze – can be obtained in the 4th chapter of episode 4 when Fran was trying to rescue Lou13, the Badass Superfan will challenge you to a duel. Win the battle against the Badass Superfan to get this figurine.
- HOT Loader -Deals high damage over time and takes more damage.
Common
- Claptrap – can be found in the 2nd chapter of episode 1. You can find this figurine when you return Juniper to Paco. As a reward for returning Juniper, Paco will install 2 apps on your Echodex. The apps will require you to fix the radio, however, please don’t do it yet. Scan first the trash pile across Paco’s stand.
