In this guide, we will tell you about Plants & Planting in My Time at Sandrock!
My Time at Sandrock: Plants & Planting Guide
Unlock Planting
To unlock planting, you will have to meet Zeke by playing through the campaign. He’s a farmer who will need your help with his farms and he will give you the recipe for planting.

Once you make the plant kit, you will unlock the planting.

Collect Materials
To do the planting you will need different materials. Once you get your plant ticket, you will want to get some straw, seeds, water, and fertilizer. The straw and seeds can be easily bought at Zeke’s shop. There are also some seeds that can be obtained at the ranch store.

Once you collect all the materials, place them in your inventory to show up during the planting process. Also, put your planting kit on the quick bar, activate it and you will get a completely new UI.
First Step – Create a Strawbed
You have to follow the very first button, the one with the straw, click on it and you will see a grid in your base. You will turn one of the squares in this grid and for the sacrifice of one straw, you can turn it into a strawbed.
Strawbed is a planted box where you can plant your seeds.

Second Step – Seeds
The second step is to plant down your seeds. You can scroll with your mouse wheel and choose any of the seeds that you have to plant.
Third Step – Watering
The third step is very important for the plants and it is watering. It is very important to be careful with the water because you will need it for your machines. To avoid the deficiency of water it’s better to go to the research center where you have the option to research the fire-powered generator that will help you power your machines, and automatically you will have more water.

Fourth Step – Fertilizer
This is important to keep your plants hydrated for about six to seven days. This is similar to the watering, but you are sacrificing a lot of fertilizer to fill up the bar. Fertilizer isn’t a requirement to keep your plants alive but it will increase the yield of plants that you are going to get.
Fifth Step – Harvesting
When the countdown has been completed you can go and harvest the plants. Every time when you harvest the plant, the soil that you actually just place it in is going to get a better quality which will result in a better yield every time.
