Beginner Guide – Torchlight – Infinite
There are a couple of very important things to know before starting Torchlight – Infinite. These are some of them.
Classes
The first step that you need to do in Torchlight infinite it’s to create your character. Selecting your character determines your strength and your weakness. Currently, there are 5 character classes that you can choose from.
From these 5 classes that you can choose from, you can decide on your personal preference and playstyle. These are all the classes available:
- Berserker Rehan
- Commander Moto
- Frostfire Gemma
- Divineshot Carino
- Spacetime Witness Youga
- Oracle Thea – this is not released yet so we don’t know
They are all different from each other. One of them is long-range, and another is in the melee range with an axe. You can choose a gunsmith and a wizard. This game has them all!

Gameplay
Torchlight Infinite is a game where you will be looking down on your character from above while hacking and slashing your way through tons of monsters and enemies. This new TL offers a much faster pace than before.
It is a very fun experience where you will need to combine your skills in order to be defeating enemies and bigger bosses.
If you are a beginner, make sure to read about the classes first since each of them will bring new gameplay to the table.
Skills
In Torchlight – Infinite there are a total of 24 unique skills that you can choose from. These 24 skills are able to be upgraded. In total you will be able to get to a total of 180 various and different skill builds! It allows for a crazy amount of customization.
There are main skills that you will need to look out for. To support the main skills you will need to choose the support skills because they will boost them. You can go to the skill shop and purchase some of them in the hideout.
Talents
Talents are the most important thing in Torchlight Infinite. They will define how you will play out with your characters and how your game style will be.
There are a total of 3 talent panels.
You can unlock them by leveling up your characters. The 6 basic talents that are available to choose from:
- God of Might
- Goddess of Hunting
- Goddess of Knowledge
- God of War
- Goddess of Darkness
- God of Machines
You will need to have talent points to actually level up your talents. Each level will grant you one talent point which you can use to get better. Each skill will give you a certain something. It can be a speed boost, damage boost, extra Hp and etc.
