Hello, and welcome to the celebration of high-octane events known as TRAIL OUT! reckless competition all around the globe! Crashes, explosions, wreckage, and drivers screaming their lungs out!
There is an option to play it with VR, but it doesn’t seem to support it very well. But still, you can give it a try. This is a guide on How to Activate VR in Trail Out. Let’s get started.
How to Activate VR – Trail Out
There isn’t actually a button that you can press for activating your VR device when playing Trail out. You will need to do a couple of things to change in your config files to enable it.
Simply follow all of these instructions and then you will be able to activate it:
- Include these lines in the:
- C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Local\TrailOut\Saved\Config\
- WindowsNoEditorengine.ini
- [SystemSettings]
- r.HZBOcclusion=0
- r.ScreenPercentage=101
- Add -vr to the command for starting Steam.
The game will load in VR, but the menus are messed up (crazy zoomed in). You can still start a race, though, if you can remember which way to go and when to click on the menu.

It’s a shame it wasn’t there from the start because it looks and plays great in VR.
- Have tried messing around with UUU, enabling console, and turning VR on and off (vr.bEnableStereo 0 and vr.bEnableStereo 1) to read the menus, but when you get into the car to race, the console won’t show up. It will only show up when you’re in the menu.
Too bad, because it’s a lot of fun to blindly navigate the menus and start a race in VR!
- Oculus Rift S / Intel i9-9900KF / 6800XT
And that is it! We hope that this got your VR to activate for playing Trail Out. Good luck and have fun experiencing this amazing game through VR view!
