If you are just starting the game and want to avoid mistakes that may cost you your progress then you have come to the right place because today we will be going through all tips and tricks that will help you survive in Abiotic Factor. Let’s get to it!

Beginner Tips And Tricks For Abiotic Factor

Modify Settings

This can make your transition into the game easier if you are just starting. You can tweak settings like increasing your HP or reducing the speed of the hunger drain Rate and similar settings.

Note that these settings will only be available to you if you complete the first part of the tutorial and once changed cannot be reverted unless you start a new game.

Character Traits

When starting the game you will have to choose character jobs. I’d recommend you choose the jobs that give you the most starting points. Two of the best are:

  • Summer Intern
  • Lab Assistant

With the starting points you get you can choose to buy any Traits of your liking with the traits divided into positive and negative character traits.

Loot Loot Loot!

Make sure you loot as much as you can because you can use the items you pick up to craft something useful.

Also, make sure to keep an eye out for vents since you can crawl inside and get to new locations.

Healing Supplies

Always have some bandages and splints on you since you never know what you may encounter in the underground.

You might also fall from a high spot and break your bones so a splint might come in handy.

Enemies

As you start the game you may be worried about enemies but don’t fret.

The game will make it obvious that something is about to happen. When enemies are about to spawn purple rifts will appear in the area.

But the longer you survive the tougher the bosses will become so make sure you’re stacked on weapons and shields.

Energy

You will need some form of energy either from batteries or energy bricks.

Make sure to charge your batteries during the day because you’ll need them mostly at night. You can get energy bricks from PC’s and they can be used as an alternative source of power.

Emails

When you come across a computer you can’t destroy, make sure to turn it on and read the emails. Inside the emails, you will find images that contain recipes that will help you craft some items.

They can also give you vital information about the entities in the game.

Save on Water

Unless you are absolutely covered in muck don’t wash yourself. Washing yourself in-game is a waste of water and it’s better if you save that water for drinking.

Food

If you are in dire need of food you can always go to the vending machines and if you have a dollar to spare you can get some food. You can find money in different parts of the game to help you out.

Share Recipes with Friends

You can share the recipes you have already unlocked with friends by standing close to them. You can also share items in your inventory by standing close to a friend.

Nighttime

Nighttime is the best time to craft items and avoid large open areas.

In large open areas Robots will hunt you down and will most likely kill you. If you decide to go exploring in the night remember to carry a flashlight since it gets very dark at night.

Seeds

You can find seeds in some areas that will enable you to grow plants that can be used for food instead of eating radiated meat from the creatures you kill.

Anti-Radiation pills

These are important because radiation builds over time and you can use these pills to reduce the amount of radiation in your body.

I hope this guide helped you with these tips and tricks that can help you start on the Abiotic Factor. Happy Gaming!
