Mods and custom-made maps can be the lifeblood of any game that allows them, and it’s definitely no different for BMX Streets. I’d argue that this game can ONLY succeed if the mods and maps pull it out of the gutter that it found itself in, since at this point you’re better off playing PIPE (Made by the same devs, but better albeit older) or any actually decent freestyle/skate/BMX kind of game. So, how do we add mods to the game?
Here’s the guide for that.
BMX Streets: How To Add Mod Maps
Step 1
Step 1 will be downloading the actual maps/mods.
First, you’ll want to head over to https://mod.io/g/bmxs – mod.io has a lot of mods for many different games, obviously – it’s in the name – that’s where you’ll find ALL three mods for BMX Streets that are currently available.
People will add more with time, but at the point of writing this mini-guide, there are only three with one of them being sort of a “test” map.

Step 2
Extracting and moving the files to where they need to be will be our next step.
If you’re familiar with modding at all, you probably already know everything we’re talking about in this guide, but for those who do not – when you download a map, you’ll find that it is in a zipped format.
You’ll need to right click on the file, and then depending on if you have WinRar, 7-Zip, or just the basic Windows-included extractor, you’ll need to find “Extract” and then you can extract it right there.
Then copy/move the file that you extracted, which will be named “BoneyardBMXStreets” for the first mode on the image above – Boneyard Skatepark to your documents/BMX Streets/Maps folder.
Step 3
Enjoy your new map!
